If there are not enough available reservations, you can make separate reservations for the two times before and after (couples can also make separate reservations for one person each).
We will explain the process of renting and returning a kimono at our shop in an easy-to-understand manner even for first-time customers. To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend that you make a reservation in advance.
Please also check the return time and cancellation policy carefully.
Please make a reservation for your desired date and time via the online reservation form or LINE. If there is availability, we can accommodate you on the day, but it is safer to make a reservation in advance. Online reservations from the official website can be made up to 30 minutes before your visit. If you wish to use the service at the last minute, we will accept reservations by phone, so please feel free to contact us.
When you make a reservation online, you can choose the kimono or yukata that suits your plan, and you can even pay by card. Therefore, if you make a reservation online in advance, you won't need to pay on the day, and the reception will be smooth.
In the unlikely event that you need to cancel, please use the reservation cancellation form. Depending on the plan, a cancellation fee may apply. Please be sure to check the "Cancellation/Other" section on the FAQ page before making your reservation.
Please come to the store you made your reservation at about 5 minutes before the reservation time. If you don't know where it is, please feel free to call us and we will guide you.
Please note that we will ask you to present identification (driver's license, student ID, residence card, etc.) at the reception to verify your identity.
Choose your very own special kimono and yukata from the gorgeous selection available in the store.
Find the perfect kimono and obi to brighten up your special day. We have a wide variety of kimonos and yukatas in store! You're sure to find the perfect kimono and obi for you.
If you are unsure, please ask our staff for help! We will help you choose the kimono or yukata that best suits you.
Once you have selected your kimono, you can move on to dressing. Our experienced staff will help you dress from the undergarment (kimono undergarment) to the obi belt. Dressing takes about 20 minutes per person (excluding peak times).
The estimated time required from reception to departure is about one hour per person, including the time it takes to choose a kimono and accessories. If you are coming with multiple people, please plan your reservation time to be around one and a half to two hours.
Once you have been dressed, we will move on to hair styling. We offer a variety of hair styling options, from free plans to paid plans that will enhance your kimono, such as braiding and flower decorations.
Since you'll be wearing a kimono, why not also pay special attention to your hair style?
Please choose the accessories you would like to put in the pouch and then your kimono dressing will be complete. We also have other accessories available, such as rain umbrellas, parasols, and maiko umbrellas, that will make your kimono look even more attractive.
Please note that we are unable to store valuables, so please place them in a drawstring bag. We also have a large Japanese style bag available as an option, which can fit a cosmetic pouch or a large wallet, so please feel free to ask.
Once you are ready, enjoy sightseeing and dining. There are many tourist attractions near VASARA Kimono Rental Shop. Please feel free to ask our staff any questions you may have about recommended ways to get around.
Please return the items by the final return time (17:30).
Generally, you will need to return the kimono at the dressing store, but you can also return it at another store for an additional fee of 3,850 yen per kimono. If you would like to return the kimono at another store, please let us know before you leave.
If you do not make it in time for the final return, a late fee of 1,100 yen per item will be charged. Also, we do not accept returns after business hours (after 18:00), so please return by the final return time (17:30) the following day. In that case, you will be charged an accommodation fee of 2,200 yen per night per item. Thank you for your understanding.
Please wear casual clothes on the day. Everything you need for dressing will be provided. Hair styling will be done after dressing, so it is okay to wear clothes that do not open in the front.
Regarding belongings, please bring one of the following forms of identification to verify your identity.
If you forget your ID, you will not be able to rent, so please be sure to bring it with you.
inner
Depending on the season, you can stay more comfortable by wearing underwear that can help regulate your body temperature. We recommend wearing quick-drying underwear in the summer and tights or leggings in the winter.
Bandage
We recommend that you bring one or two bandages with you to prevent problems such as chafing from the thongs and blisters caused by wearing sandals.
Small wallet
Small ones are better as they can easily be hidden in a kimono obi or stored in a small pocket or drawstring bag.
