Summer in Tokyo, colored by yukata - the night of the Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival

This summer, I went to the Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival wearing a yukata.
Large fireworks lit up the sky in the middle of the city. It was a luxurious moment to enjoy the beauty while wearing a yukata.

In the evening, I met up with a friend at Gaienmae Station. People in yukata were coming and going, and the area in front of the station was already bustling with activity, like a summer festival.
I chose a navy blue yukata with a red and light blue floral pattern, and tied my hair loosely with a hairpin. I felt a little more proud wearing something different from my usual attire.

The moment the first firework burst into the night sky, cheers and applause erupted.
The power of the sound, the vividness of the light, and the extraordinary feeling you get from wearing a yukata.
Everything came together and I was so moved that my heart was filled with emotion.

Even after the fireworks were over, I continued walking home, still basking in the afterglow. The sound of footsteps in yukata and the sounds of food stalls in the distance felt like a scene from a movie.

The Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival is not just an event, but a special time that makes you feel like you've "lived through the summer." It was a night that made me want to come back to this place again next year, wearing a yukata.
