Enjoy a student discount on kimono sightseeing and make Instagram-worthy memories with a rickshaw ride

If you are a university student, it is probably spring break. Have you gone out somewhere yet? If you still haven't had enough fun, we recommend sightseeing in Asakusa in a kimono. Kimono rental VASARA is offering a student discount service until the end of March, so it is a must-see for students. In this article, we will introduce how to enjoy sightseeing in a kimono even more by using the student discount.

●For kimono rental, try VASARA Kimono Rental

Currently, Kimono Rental VASARA is the only kimono rental shop with three stores in Asakusa. In addition, we are planning to open a fourth store in front of Asakusa Station on March 8, 2019. This concentrated opening is possible because we are rooted in Asakusa, so you can feel at ease. As for customer service, if you are unsure which kimono to choose, our dressing staff will help you choose one. Don't worry if you are not used to wearing Japanese clothing.

●Student discount service

Kimono Rental VASARA 's student discount service allows you to make a reservation online in advance and still receive the same discount price if you call on the day. Most kimono rental shops offer a separate plan called a student discount, but there are so many plans to choose from that it is often the case that you end up not knowing which plan to choose. In contrast, Kimono Rental VASARA 's student discount service offers a flat 1,000 yen discount off the regular price, no matter which plan you choose. You'll never have to worry about which one to choose. As a student, you may often go on unexpected trips, but with so many stores we can help you out even if you show up on the day. If you are unsure,

●Lots of cute kimonos available

Kimono Rental VASARA has one of the largest kimono inventory in the country. However, you won't know what kimonos they have available until the day of your visit. This is because you can't reserve kimonos (Standard plans to three-star plans, etc.) in advance at Kimono Rental VASARA. However, you can find out what kind of kimonos you will be able to wear.

You can check the kimono list that is available at the entire VASARA kimono rental service. If you use this, you can see samples of the kimono in this style if it's pink. If you check in advance, you can save time by reducing the time it takes to choose on the day.

Please see the list of kimonos here.

●If you're sightseeing in Asakusa, we recommend a rickshaw ride in a kimono.

It can be quite difficult to go for a stroll in a kimono if you can't bend your knees much and you're not used to wearing it. So if you come to Asakusa, we highly recommend a kimono tour by rickshaw.

Reason 1: No burden when moving

Rickshaws take you to all the tourist spots in Asakusa, so you won't get tired on your feet. The ride is smooth and not bumpy as it runs on public roads, and you can put a blanket over your feet, so you won't feel the cold as much as you would if you were walking normally. It's highly recommended because it prevents the straps of your sandals from slipping off and your clothes from coming loose. Another appealing point is that it covers all the highlights and tourist spots, so you don't have to worry about where to go.

Reason 2: They are also familiar with Instagrammable spots

When traveling alone or with someone else, you end up taking a lot of selfies. This can mean that you can't capture the whole of the tourist attractions in the frame. However, if you take a rickshaw, the rickshaw driver will take the photos for you, so you'll have a higher chance of taking a better photo. He'll also carefully consider the composition, so you can leave it to him with peace of mind.

Reason 3: The rickshaw driver is handsome

The rickshaw drivers who pull them every day are covered in toned muscles, and their smiles never show any signs of fatigue, making them very charming. Why not try touring Asakusa in a kimono with a rickshaw driver who can also act as a tourist guide and take you around the area?

Rickshaw fare

As a rough guide, the fare for a rickshaw is 3,000 yen per person for one section (1.2 km). For two people, it is 4,000 yen and up. It is more economical for two people to ride, so it is perfect for two people.

Summary

We recommend walking around Asakusa freely, eating your way around, and taking photos at the tourist spots, but if you want to tour Asakusa wearing a kimono, we recommend a rickshaw tour. Make great memories of your student days while taking advantage of the student discount at the kimono rental shop VASARA.
