【Goldfish scooping】

Asakusa Kingyo is a specialty shop in Asakusa where you can enjoy goldfish scooping indoors all year round without worrying about heat, cold, or rain. The shop is decorated with goldfish wind chimes and paper lanterns, and in the center is a cypress aquarium where you can play goldfish scooping. You can get three goldfish scooping poi for 300 yen per game. There are two types of poi, and the poi for taking home the goldfish you scoop is slightly stronger than the poi for not taking home. The advice given by the staff of Asakusa Kingyo is to soak the poi in water before scooping to make it less likely to break. It seems that it is easier to scoop it if you put it in at an angle to the water and then take it out at an angle. If you follow the advice and scoop it up, even beginners can easily try it.

Aside from goldfish scooping, the store also has a wide selection of goldfish-related goods, such as tableware and towels with cute goldfish patterns, all at reasonable prices. Next door is the very popular melon bread shop, Kagetsudo! It's also a great photo spot, with many windmills in front of it! It's great for families, and fun for couples! "Asakusa Kingyo" is a date spot that even adults can enjoy. How about trying out goldfish scooping while wearing a kimono next time?

【rickshaw】

Asakusa is a town where old-fashioned shops and friendly, stylish people live. Recently, the number of foreign customers has increased, and it is transforming into an attractive town where the past and the present coexist. In such Asakusa, don't you see many rickshaws? If you want to visit hidden spots and experience a different Asakusa, we recommend rickshaws. There is a strong theory that rickshaws originated in Nihonbashi. At one point during the Meiji period, they were on the verge of going out of business, but they overcame many difficulties and made a comeback, and March 24th is the birth day of rickshaws. It seems that the shape of the rickshaw has been developed after many years of trial and error since 1875. Some rickshaw drivers can give directions in English, and foreign customers also enjoy it. It's also good that you can ride alone or as a couple. Let's ask about the spots and angles that look good on Instagram. At first glance, the rickshaws cutting through the wind may look cold, but they will give you a warm blanket, so it's comfortable. You'll forget the cold with the driver's fun stories.

The main rickshaw operators are:
