Enjoy a tour of Natadera Temple with your pet

I often hear people say, "There are few tourist spots in Kanazawa where you can bring pets."

We recommend this place to people who want to visit with their pets! It's an hour's drive from Kanazawa, and we'd like to introduce you to a wonderful temple that you can enjoy with your pets.

●Natadera Temple

Natadera Temple, located in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is famous for its strangely shaped monolith, which celebrated its 1,300th anniversary in 2017. It is a temple dedicated to worshipping Mt. Hakusan.

The spacious grounds, which seem one with nature and are surrounded by trees, have different faces throughout the four seasons, and many people come to worship here regardless of the season.

Many events are planned, including "Spring Night Lights" in April, "Gumodameshi" in August, and "Autumn Night Lights" in October and November.

The best time to visit is during the autumn foliage season.

The most popular attraction at Natadera Temple, the Strange Rocks of Paradise, turns bright red with autumn leaves.

The garden beside the approach to the shrine is covered in moss, and you can enjoy the contrast with the carpet of green.

Although pets are allowed, there are no toilets for pets. Pets are accepted thanks to the generosity of the head priest, so please enjoy a stroll with your pet while observing basic manners such as not letting your pet urinate, wearing diapers or a safety belt, and picking up any pet feces when you leave.
