Eat your fill of delicious ramen in Osaka! We've selected 4 recommended ramen shops.

Osaka is known as the city of 'eat to your heart'. The term 'eat to your heart' originally refers to spending money lavishly on food and drink, and losing all your assets. It is rare nowadays for people to eat and drink so much that they can't go home, but that just goes to show how much they don't skimp on delicious food. Here we will introduce some delicious ramen restaurants in Osaka that have gained popularity through social media and word of mouth. Why not stop by while you're out strolling around Tsutenkaku in a kimono?

●Kadoya Restaurant

When searching for ramen in Osaka, "Kadoya Shokudo" is a sure hit. Apparently this restaurant started out as a public diner, but as ramen became a specialty, it transformed into a ramen specialty store. It won the "KANSAI 1 Week" Ramen Grand Prize in 2006, has won first place in Ramen Walker's Grand Prix many times, and has been selected for the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for two consecutive years, making it no exaggeration to say that it is the number one ramen restaurant in Kansai. Kadoya Shokudo, whose trademark is red, is a popular restaurant that sees lines form as soon as it opens. Menu items include Chinese noodles, salt soba, and tsukesoba.

Among them, the ramen that has always been popular is the Chinese noodle. The soup is a combination of light chicken and pork base and fish broth soy sauce, and the homemade noodles are mixed together to create a flavor that you will never tire of. If you come to Osaka, why not try the ultimate ramen experience at Kadoya Shokudo? It is also close to the Kyocera Dome, so we recommend stopping by on your way home after going to a game in the summer in a yukata.

This yukata is One-Star (4,500 yen). Red is her trademark, so I chose red to match it. The base is pink, so it really shows off her cuteness.

●Ryuukishin RIZE

Ryukishin RIZE in Namba, Osaka is a salt ramen specialty restaurant famous for its salt ramen. Their rich salt ramen is said to be exquisite, but as they specialize in salt, they also offer light salt ramen. You can feel their endless commitment to salt. The soup is made with salt sauce made from natural mussels from Ise Bay, vegetables, chicken bones, whole chickens, and natural rock salt from Jiangsu Province, China.

This is the Chicken Cooked Salt Soba. It is the ultimate rich and creamy dish, with a white soup that is thick and flavorful.

Namba is about 15 minutes from Osaka Station. It's not too far away, and it's close to the famous Dotonbori, so we recommend stopping by after sightseeing.

This kimono is a two-star (5,900 yen). There are a lot of neon lights around Dotonbori, so it's hard to read the colors. In order not to break the color combination too much, the base is white, and the yellow and orange plum blossoms make it look elegant and bright.

●Menya Joroku

Located in the "Ura Namba" area near Namba Station in Osaka Chuo Ward, Menya Jouroku is a popular restaurant that was ranked first in the general Osaka category in Ramen Walker Kansai 2017. At this ramen restaurant, you can enjoy "Takaida-style Chinese noodles," a local Osaka ramen. Takaida-style Chinese noodles are characterized by their extra-thick and straight noodles, soy sauce-flavored soup made mainly from chicken bones, a dark soup that comes from the soy sauce, and large spring onions.

It is no exaggeration to say that Menya Jouroku's Chinese noodles are the ultimate Takaida-style Chinese noodles. If you want to eat local Osaka ramen, please visit Menya Jouroku. Since the Namba Grand Kagetsu is located near this ramen shop, it might be a good idea to go there in a kimono and then go to eat ramen.

This kimono is a three-star (6,900 yen). The shop has a black exterior, so the base is black, but the orange that matches the black makes it look gorgeous. The vibrant color of orange matches well with going to see the Grand Kagetsu.

This ramen shop has a unique name that catches your eye, but it has a reputation for its delicious ramen. We will tell you about the appeal of the ramen at Jinrui Mina Menrui, the super popular shop that has been featured on TV and in the media many times and where it's normal to have to queue. Jinrui Mina Menrui is located right next to Nishinakajima Minamigata Station on the Shin-Midosuji Line.

The ramen is the classic soy sauce flavor, with only a few variations. The most popular is "Ramen Genten." The soup has a sweet soy sauce flavor made with bonito, and the noodles are made from whole wheat flour, giving them a firm texture. The most important feature is the extra thick pork slices. They are very thick, yet so soft that they melt in your mouth. Although it is simple, each ingredient is carefully selected, so it is a taste that anyone can enjoy. Please give it a try.
