The Kita Ward Fireworks Festival 2023 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 30th at the Arakawa riverbed in Kita Ward, Tokyo. *The event will be held in case of rain, but will be canceled if there is severe weather.
This year marks the 10th time the event has been held in 4 years, and it will be themed "New Era," allowing visitors to enjoy a "new Kita Ward fireworks festival."
A total of 10,000 fireworks will be shot off. The highlight of the Kita Ward Fireworks Festival is being able to enjoy artistic fireworks created by famous fireworks artists at close range.

If you live in Tokyo and want to enjoy the Kita Ward Fireworks Festival, the convenient Kimono Rental VASARA Ikebukuro store is the place to go.
It is a 1-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. From Ikebukuro Station, take the JR Yamanote Line to Komagome Station, then transfer to the Namboku Line and it is about 20 minutes to Shimo, the closest station to the fireworks display.
Also, if you are coming from Saitama prefecture, you can use the "Kimono Rental VASARA Kawagoe Ekimae Store/Kawagoe Koedo Store" and then go to the fireworks display via Ikebukuro. It's about an hour's train ride from Kawagoe, but riding the train in a cute yukata can be a special experience, as it will make you feel different from usual.
