Retro Modern are popular in the fall of 2020, following on from the spring.
People enjoy expressing their individuality by wearing modest kimonos in earth colors and botanical patterns, incorporating lace and decorative cords, creating a mix of traditional styles reminiscent of the Meiji and Taisho periods with the casual modernity of Western clothing.
This year, autumn outing season is popular for small group activities that allow you to experience the four seasons. Coordinate your kimono with the season and weather, and have fun taking photos and videos of the four seasons. (Lace masks, which are popular for their total coordination with kimonos, are also available for purchase at each store.)
