INFORMATION

[June 7th (Fri) to 9th (Sun)] Torigoe Festival will be held, featuring one of the largest mikoshi (portable shrines) in Tokyo!

Thank you for always using VASARA Kimono Rental.

The Torigoe Festival will be held at Torigoe Shrine in Torigoe, Taito Ward, Tokyo from Friday, June 7th to Sunday, June 9th, 2024.
This festival, held at Torigoe Shrine, which boasts a history of about 1,370 years, is especially famous for its gigantic mikoshi (portable shrine), the "Sengan Mikoshi," said to be the heaviest in Tokyo. The sight of this huge Senkan mikoshi majestically marching through the streets is a spectacular sight! As the sun sets, the festival reaches its climax when the lanterns around the mikoshi are lit, creating a magnificent and fantastical sight.
The Torigoe Festival, which features one of the largest Senkan mikoshi portable shrines in Japan, is a festival that festival lovers will want to participate in at least once.

During the festival, the area around the shrine is bustling with about 250 food stalls lined up. You can enjoy food from the stalls, or you can enjoy the unique attractions that come with the stalls. When you see the stalls, your heart naturally leaps with joy, making the festival atmosphere even more enjoyable.

Why not try dressing up in a yukata, a traditional Japanese kimono, and enjoy one of Japan's most famous festivals?
