We are pleased to announce that Kimono Rental VASARA (hereinafter referred to as "our company") will be carrying out a collaboration project with "WA-GEI," an anthropomorphized IP project of Rakugo and Kodan, which was launched in 2021 as a commemorative project for the 70th anniversary of the launch of Nippon Cultural Broadcasting.
The radio drama "Picture Story WA-GEI" is currently being broadcast as part of the radio program "Yano and Konan Picture Story WA-GEI," which airs every Monday from 9:00 p.m. on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting.
On Monday, January 10th, 2022 (national holiday), the "WA-GEI" project's first completely new reading drama event, "Reading Drama Picture Story WA-GEI ~Launch Fireworks in Your Heart~" will be held at Nissho Hall in Shinbashi.
This event will feature a total of eight cast members from the radio drama "Emonogatari WA-GEI," including Konan Mitsuji, who plays the main characters of the mysterious monk messenger, and Yano Shogo, who plays Shibahama, as well as Iwata Mitsuo, Ono Motoharu, Sueno Takuma, Sumi Tomomi Jena, Seki Tomokazu, and VALSHE.
This is a full-scale reading drama event accompanied by live performances of traditional Japanese instruments. In addition to the reading drama, there will be various other events, such as talk parts and singing parts of character songs that add color to the story.
In addition to the general participation ticket, this event will offer a "Kimono rental and dressing included participation ticket." Our company will be in charge of kimono rental and dressing for customers attending the event.
This special ticket includes a kimono rental and dressing set in a color inspired by each character at designated VASARA stores (Akihabara, Asakusa Station, Shibuya, Shinjuku Station, and Ikebukuro). Customers who purchase this ticket will also receive a WA-GEI original hand towel and an acrylic stand with a character design at each store.
In addition, our kimono dressers will be in charge of coordinating and dressing the Japanese attire worn by the voice actors. We hope you will look forward to special coordination that matches the worldview of the project.
